Tubelight Review: Has Salman Khan Fairly Justified his Fans Expectations?

We all love gifts!

Who doesn’t?

Just like we wait for the seviyaan ki kheer every Eid, fans of Salman Khan wait for their Eidi which is a Bollywood blockbuster starring our Bhaijaan, Salman Khan.

You may or may not be a Sallu Miya fan but you would certainly not want to miss his movies. Like every year, this year too bhaijaan has fulfilled his promise with the release of TUBELIGHT!

I am sure some of you have seen the movie and the rest are waiting for the availability of tickets. So, my dear buddy don’t worry I will not spoil the fun for you but there a few things that I would certainly like to draw your attention to so that you don’t miss them when you watch the movie.

The movie is set in a breath-taking location and wonderfully depicts the love that Salman Khan (Laxman) holds for his family and especially his brother Sohail (Bharat). It is a set up during the Indo-China war.  Om Puri’s acting in this film has been superb after all he has been a legendary actor.

As our parents keep teaching us good values, Om Puri Sahab is seen explaining Salman the values of Gandhiji which he is expected to follow. The innocent and naive Laxman puts in efforts from his side to inculcate those values within himself.

Chinese actress Zhu Zhu and Martin Rey Tangu are adding more to the beauty and charm of the film who are depicted probably as North Easterns. Let me just tell you one thing ladies, you will certainly fall for every single outfit worn by this Chinese beauty as she brilliantly carries it.

One factor which has been beautifully portrayed is the use of radio. Just like Whatsapp is important for us these days as means of communication, earlier there was radio. The way they tune into the radio sets makes you feel so nostalgic!

I have told you almost everything but I believe this movie will give you a glimpse of a different version of Salman Khan. We have usually seen him performing sundry roles be it in Tere Naam…Ek Tha Tiger…Bajrangi Bhaijaan, this is pretty dissimilar to them.

One thing that I would share with you guys is that though it’s a Kabir Khan movie, the cinematography is flabbergasting and the story is fairly good, it’s a remake of the American release Little Boy. Not only this, everything in this movie seems to go at a smooth pace. There is drama in the movie undoubtedly, but by the time you get encapsulated in one emotion, the scene is quick enough to drag you out of that mood and trick your mind into another. It does not hold your attention for long.

All the people for whom Bajrangi Bhaijaan has set a benchmark which is grueling for other directors to reach, please do not expect way too much because your hopes would not be fruitful.

For all those people who are wondering friends ke sath jau ya family ke sath… guys, you can choose your troop because there is no drop of obscenity in the movie. Lastly, all that I can say is, this is what I have felt as a viewer. It is a great movie but only a one time watch for me.

So you guys can enjoy this Eid ka Tohfa and leave your comments in the comments section below.
