Bhaskaracharya College of Applied Sciences:  This college is named after the great mathematician Bhaskara of the 12th century and was set up in October 1995. This is a constituent college of Delhi University and is fully supported and funded by the government of NCT, Delhi. Admission Eligibility Criteria:

  • Application is to be filled online for admission through the website of Delhi University. The payment can be done by Net banking/Credit/Debit card.
  • Students who have passed 10+2 in PCM/PCB from a recognized board are eligible for B.SC. Honors program.
  • Admission is done on merit basis and DU releases minimum 4 cutoffs.
  • SC and ST have a reservation of 15% and 7.5%, whereas OBC has 27% and 5% for physically handicapped, foreign candidates, etc.
  • 5% to 10% minimum relaxation for the eligibility of SC/ST/OBC.

4. Access to different types of courses

Various types of courses offered in Bhaskaracharya College of Applied Sciences are as follows:

  • Core Course: These course papers are compulsory to be studied by the student of a particular discipline. There are 14 core papers distributed in all the semesters.
  • Elective Course: These courses can be chosen from a pool of courses which are specific to the discipline/ subject of study or to some other discipline/subject or nurtures the candidate’s proficiency.
  • Discipline Specific Elective (DSE): A student has to study 4 discipline-specific elective papers during their course. Two papers each are offered in V and VI semesters.
  • Generic Elective (GE): Different generic elective papers will be offered to students by other Departments (disciplines) of the College and the student will have the option to choose one generic elective paper each in the first four semesters.

Students are responsible for their conduct within the college premises and are prohibited from doing anything, either inside or outside the College, which will amount to the violation of discipline or interference in the smooth functioning of the college. The student will only be liable towards the in disciplinary action if done by them. If any mischief is done which violates the rules and regulations of the college then a student may be suspended from class or even the examinations. All the rules and norms as provided in Ordinance XV (B), XV (C) and XV (D) of the “Rules of Discipline of the “University of Delhi” would be strictly adhered to in case of any act of indiscipline.
