Bhim Rao Ambedkar College DU was established back in 1991 during the birth centenary of Bharat Ratna Baba Saheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar. The college is a constituent college of the UNIVERSITY OF DELHI. Hence it is funded by the Delhi Government for all the needs to pacify for education.

The university was launched with the four professional programs that are BA(Hons) Business Economics, BA(Hons) Social Work, BA(Hons) Hindi Journalism, Mass Communication and BA(Hons) Applied Psychology.

The chairman of the college is Mr. Deepanshu Shrivastava. And the principal of the college is Mr. G.K Arora. 1. Admissions Criteria and Process

Since it is a constitute college of Delhi University, so the criteria to get enrolled in the college is the same as that of other colleges of Delhi University. The university also holds a reservation for the category in which students belong to a non-general category.

In recent times, it was recorded that 22.5% are reserved for SC/ST category, 27% for OBC, 5% for ECA quota and 5% for foreign students.

3. Cut-Off criteria for admission in this College

The lowest cut off experienced for the general category by the college for admissions in batch 2018 was 78% for B.A.( Hons) in Hindi Patrakarita in the fifth cut off released by the college and University of Delhi.

4. The infrastructure of the College

The college is spread over 9 acres of the area in wazirabad of the capital, New Delhi. It is full of lush green area in the northeast district of the New Delhi, with an add on to the beauty that it is constructed on the banks of river Yamuna. The computer lab of the college is well equipped with the latest technology and programmed according to the student’s welfare.

In present, Internets are provided through the broadband connection and the radio-active towers of the college. All operational unit of the college is fully equipped with CAT-5 cable. Also, the same is installed in the libraries where the faculties can read the journals which would help them to make the topic understands to the student studying there.
