1. South Campus is equally reputed and renowned as North Campus
Life at North campus and at the south campus is equal in all terms. Many south campus colleges such as Gargi, Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Venkateshwara, and Sri Aurobindo comes under the top 15 colleges of Delhi University. Even in terms of faculty, both have equally qualified and well-recognized faculties. In terms of admission also, the percentage varies from 2-3%.
It is just hype of NORTH CAMPUS TOH NORTH CAMPUS. Even south campus holds a great dignity and is considered equivalent to the north campus in almost all terms.
2. The dance society of Shaheed Bhagat Singh college SPRADHA has won the competition in IIT BOMBAY
Well known as SPRADHA, dance society of Shaheed Bhagat Singh college has secured the first position in a competition held at IIT Bombay, in 2017 this was the first time a team from Delhi won this title.
One of the well known and talented dance society of DELHI UNIVERSITY, SPRADHA wrote on its Facebook page after having such a great achievement.
“Spardha created history by winning the Street Dance Competition at Mood Indigo 2017, the annual cultural fest of IIT Bombay.
This is the first time ever, that a crew from Delhi has won the title.
This is undoubtedly the biggest achievement of our team till now, and all the credit goes to our choreographers and the team members.

3. Canteen of Sri Venkateshwara college
Many of you are well aware of this fact that the popular college of South campus, Sri Venkateshwara college, formerly known as Venky college, has a quite impressive canteen.
Due to the strict instructions by the board of directors, only vegetarian food is served in all canteens of DU, but the south Indian food of Venkateshwara college is a thing you cannot get over with. It is really very tasty. Also, the canteen serves many more mouth-watering dishes such as aloo tikki, samosa, and fried rice too. Another amazing fact is that they have a Cafe coffee day kiosk right outside the canteen. They have a huge outdoor seating area which is the most favourite spot among the Venky students. That is their area to chill, talk and have fun with their friends with some delicious food in their plates.
Plus plus plus, another feature of venky canteen is that, unlike other canteens, they change their menu according to the seasons. Isn’t it interesting 😉
4. Lots of places to Hangout with Friends
You all are must be very well aware of the hangout places of the south campus. Some of them are:

Satya Niketan is well known for its affordable cafes. Most of the college students, either of south campus or of any other college throw their birthday parties there. Personally, my favorite place is the Crazy Kitchen Rooftop Cafe and Echoes. Just for knowledge: Echoes is one of the first cafe , which offers job opportunities to disabled people.
6. Fests of Sri Venkateshwara College
The most exciting thing about college life is to attend different types of college cultural fests, organized by the Student Union. On this list, Sri Venkateshwara College hits the list as the fest of this college is quite popular among youngsters.
This year also, The famous LOCAL TRAIN and singer JUBIN NAUTIYAL performed in the fest.
7. Even south campus college students many times run out of passes for their own college fest
Though recently we discussed Venky’s fest, all the colleges of the south campus are so appreciable that many times college students fall short of the fest entry pass for their own college cultural fest. So by this one can relate to the popularity of these fests among the youth.
8. The campus vibe is missing in South Campus
Unlike north campus, South campus colleges are scattered in the south region of the Delhi. This is the main reason behind the lacking of the CAMPUS VAALI FEELING which is considered to be so-called only one disadvantage of south campus.
9. The history of South Campus is not known to many
This is mostly known by everyone that north campus holds of all prominent colleges because it was established in 1922. Unlike north campus, the south campus was established in 1973. Hence it is considered to be less in quality as compared to North Campus.
10. South Campus is excluded from DUSU elections
For some, it may be a privilege or for others, it may be a disadvantage, but yes you heard it right! South campus is excluded from DELHI UNIVERSITY STUDENT UNION elections. So we may say that it is a plus point for those who are not aware of the political parties in DUSU..

Moreover, I would like to say, that I am not a student of south campus, these were the facts I got to hear from my friends studying there. But in my opinion, exploration can never be ended.
